JOHN DAY/CANYON CITY – Grant School District 3 Superintendent Bret Uptmor issued a release regarding the sudden uptick in COVID-19 cases within the school district. Mr. Uptmor wrote that 44% of the students at Grant Union Jr./Sr. High School are on quarantine, and 16 % at Humbolt. It has reached a point where any further quarantines will result in a forced closure. Right now, the district is considering a 2-week pause for in-student learning, and we’ll keep you updated if any decisions are made, and if further information comes in.
