UNION COUNTY — In a recent development, Elkhorn Media Group has confirmed that the 3.4% rate increase approved by the Union County Board of Commissioners for Waste-Pro will also be applicable to all cities in Union County, except for the City of Union.
Elkhorn Media Group recently reported that the rate increase was approved by the Union County Board of Commissioners, as well as approved by all cities served by Waste-Pro.
Commissioner Matt Scarfo said that the approved rate hike aligns with the request put forth by Waste-Pro, whose manager said the increase was needed primarily because of rising overall costs.
Waste-Pro holds a franchise arrangement with the county, offering services to numerous unincorporated areas. Additionally, it serves La Grande, Island City, Imbler, Elgin, and Cove.
