EASTERN OREGON – The Frontier Conference has released its modified schedule for football for the remaining five teams. The modification was approved by the conference athletic directors late Tuesday night.
The schedule modification comes out after Montana Western, Montana Tech, and Southern Oregon all chose to opt out for the 2021 spring season. With those opt outs, it leaves Eastern Oregon, Carroll College (Mont.), College of Idaho, Montana State-Northern, and Rocky Mountain College (Mont.) left to compete.
The new schedule has the season now starting on March 13 and will go five weeks. Each team will get a bye week and will play a pair of home and away games, respectively. Eastern Oregon will start the season with a bye week and will not step on the gridiron until March 20.
The Mountaineers first game of the season will be a home opener when they host Carroll College on March 20. The following week, EOU hits the road to Rocky Mountain College to take on the Battlin’ Bears on March 27. The second home game for the Mounties will be on April 3 when they host longtime rival College of Idaho for Senior Day. The final game of the regular season has EOU playing at MSU-Northern on April 10.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. local time for all games. To see the updated EOU football schedule, click the respective link above.
