Freniere sentenced to prison for attempted sodomy, burglary & more

CANYON CITY – A man will spend over 8 years in prison on charges across three different cases, according to recent Grant County Circuit Court Documents. Travis James Freniere, 36, pleaded guilty to two separate counts of Theft in the First Degree, Burglary in the Second Degree, and Forgery in the First Degree. He pleaded No Contest to Attempted Sodomy in the First Degree—a Class A felony.

Freniere was sentenced to 105 months, or 8.75 years in prison with the Oregon Department of Corrections. He’s also sentenced to 10 years on Post Prison Supervision, minus time served. A total of 14 counts were disposed with no conviction.
