Freeze warning in effect tonight for eastern Umatilla County

PENDLETON – With snow expected in the mountains today, the National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for lower elevations starting Wednesday night.

The warning is in effect from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 9 a.m. Thursday, with subfreezing temperatures forecast as low as 28 degrees. The alert covers the eastern half of Umatilla County, including Pendleton, Pilot Rock and Milton-Freewater.
