BAKER CITY — Baker School District has announced that free meals will be available for all youth again this summer through their free summer meals program. All children up to 18 years of age are welcome to participate Monday through Thursdays each week from June 16th through August 7th.

Baker School District 5J reports, โ€œA sack lunch and breakfast for the next day will be offered from 11:00am to 11:30am via the bus lane at Baker High School on E Street. And Thursday’s lunch and breakfast service will include meals for Friday.โ€ District personnel also noted, โ€œChildren should be present to receive meals; however, we understand that may not always be possible. (For example, if a child is not feeling well.)โ€

The process will be the same as last yearโ€™s, where lunches can be picked up by either driving through or walking up. Meal purchases for adults will not be available this year.
