Fraud Alert-Final Court-Ordered Mandatory Collection Notice

HARNEY COUNTY (Released by the Burns Police Department)-The document shown in the attached image is NOT a legitimate court-issued notice. This appears to be a fraudulent scam designed to intimidate individuals into making immediate payment.

The Oregon Judicial Department and legitimate courts do not:

* Send “final mandatory collection notices” in this format
* Demand payment via QR codes or unofficial links
* Use threatening or urgent language to force immediate payment
* Combine multiple enforcement actions (license suspension, collections, SSN reporting) into a single notice without due process

Official court communications are sent through verified mail channels and can always be confirmed directly with the court.

If you receive a notice like this:

* Do NOT scan any QR codes
* Do NOT send payment
* Do not provide personal or financial information

If you have concerns about a potential citation or case, contact the Multnomah County Circuit Court directly using their publicly listed phone number or official website to verify.
