Four injured in two-vehicle collision

WALLA WALLA – The Washington State Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle injury collision that occurred Thursday afternoon on Highway 12 near Smith Road, seven miles east of Walla Walla city limits.

Troopers said David Caillier, 30, of Stockholm, South Dakota was traveling westbound when it crossed the centerline and struck another vehicle driven by Timothy Fitzgibbons, 28, of Uniontown.

Both drivers had passengers with them. All, except for Fitzgibbon’s passenger, were transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla. Fitzgibbon’s passenger, a 28-year-old female, was transported to a Spokane hospital.

The Washington State Patrol said charges are pending against Callier and that the cause of the accident is under investigation.
