Four escape injury after late-night rollover crash near Burns

HARNEY COUNTY-Four individuals miraculously walked away without injuries late Sunday night after their vehicle overturned in a single-car rollover crash.
Emergency dispatchers received a 911 call at 11:02 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2026, reporting a motor vehicle crash. A passing motorist had spotted a white Toyota flipped onto its side or roof near the “Greenhouse” area, located just south of Burns off Highway.
The caller, who was driving past the scene, stopped their own vehicle to check on the occupants of the overturned Toyota and contact emergency services.
According to dispatch logs, the caller was able to confirm that all four individuals inside the Toyota had successfully freed themselves from the vehicle. Dispatchers went through an Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) protocol, verifying that none of the occupants were suffering from profuse bleeding, all were breathing normally, and everyone was conscious and able to follow commands.
Additionally, first responders were relieved to learn that no one had been ejected during the rollover and no active hazards, such as leaking fuel or fire, were present at the scene.
Burns-area law enforcement and medical personnel arrived shortly after the dispatch.
An ambulance crew assessed all four occupants at the scene. By 11:46 PM, medical personnel cleared the area, confirming that all patients had officially signed medical refusals, opting not to be transported to the hospital.
Because there were no injuries, no major road hazards, and no suspicious circumstances, responding police units cleared the scene just after midnight on July 13. Law enforcement logged the incident as resolved with no formal accident report required.
