HERMISTON – Candidates interested in serving on the Hermiston City Council can now file for election with the city. Assistant City Manager Mark Morgan says the four ward-based seats on the council are up for election.
“Although everybody in the community votes on those ward-based positions, the person holding the seat has to be in that ward,” Morgan said.
In addition to four council seats, the spring election will also see the election of a Hermiston municipal judge. Filing for all positions is now open. David Patrick McCarthy of Ward IV is the only candidate to have filed at last report.
