Four arrested after suspected drug house raided in Ontario

ONTARIO — (Release by Ontario Police Department) On February 14, 2024, the High Desert Drug Task Force (HDDTF), Oregon State Police, Ontario Police Department, Malheur County Sheriff’s Office, and the Malheur County Parole and Probation Department served a search warrant on a suspected drug trafficking house in the 1400 block of West Idaho.

Eleven people were living inside the small residence at the time of the search warrant service and four of them were arrested without incident on outstanding felony warrants.  A firearm, methamphetamine, digital scales, and drug packaging were seized along with other items of evidence.

Jack Thomas Baker, age 31, of Ontario was arrested for a felony Malheur County Parole warrant – Felony Traffic Offense, Payette County warrant – Failure to appear on Dangerous Drugs

Jose Israel Cuna, age 25, of Ontario was arrested for a felony Malheur County Parole warrant – Dangerous Drugs

Jose Luis Galan, age 29 of Ontario was arrested for a felony Malheur County Parole warrant – Unlawful Use of a Vehicle

Jazmyn R Johnson, age 22 of Ontario was arrested for a felony Payette County warrant – Dangerous Drugs

Additional commercial drug offense and firearms charges will be referred to the Malheur County District Attorney. 

The High Desert Drug Task Force (HDDTF) is a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force that identifies, disrupts, and dismantles local, multi-state, and international drug trafficking organizations using an intelligence-driven, multi-agency prosecutor-supported approach. HDDTF is supported by the Oregon-Idaho High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) which is composed of members from the Ontario Police Department, Malheur County Sheriff’s Office, and the Oregon State Police.  HDDTF is supported by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Homeland Security Investigations, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Baker City Police Department, Baker County Sheriff’s Office, Nyssa Police Department, Payette Police Department, Fruitland Police Department, Idaho State Police, Malheur County District Attorney’s Office, and numerous other local and federal law enforcement partners. The Oregon-Idaho HIDTA program is an Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) sponsored counterdrug grant program that coordinates with and provides funding resources to multi-agency drug enforcement initiatives, including the HDDTF.
