PENDLETON – Temperatures for the month of March were a little warmer than normal and precipitation was below normal for the region. National Weather Service Meteorologist Marc Austin says he the forecast for April could contain some drought relief.
“We’re calling for near to below normal temperatures and near to above normal precipitation,” he said. ‘Perhaps that is some good news if we can get some meaningful rainfall in here, maybe even some mountain snow.”
Austin said that the temperature will fluctuate dramatically over the next few days.
“It’s going to cool off and then rapidly warm up toward the end of the week,” he said. “Then it looks like we’re going to plummet again next week.”
