Posted Sat. at 4:40 p.m.: The city of College Place and College Place Public Schools have announced this year’s Freedom Festival is canceled due to the extreme heat.
COLLEGE PLACE – The city of College Place is celebrating the nation at the 2021 Freedom Festival Sunday from 6-10:15 p.m. at College Place High School, 1655 South College Avenue.
Local vendors with crafts and other products will be there. Food trucks are also going to be on hand. CP Boosters will be selling burgers, hotdogs, and cold drinks. There is also a kids’ activity zone planned.
From 7-10 p.m., the Whiskey Creek Band will be playing favorite country and rock tunes. The Freedom Festival, which is free for all ages will conclude with fireworks show at 10 p.m. sponsored by Columbia REA. For best viewing, attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be designated viewing areas.
