PASCO – Firefighters responded at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday to an explosion and fire at Oxarc Incorporated, 716 South Oregon Ave. The company provides welding and industrial supplies, as well as industrial, medical, and specialty gases.
Ben Shearer with the Pasco Fire Department said while the cause of the fire is under investigation, it originated in the acetylene room.
All employees managed to get out safely.
While nearby residents were advised to stay indoors during the fire, Shearer said there’s no risk to the public now that the fire is out.
