Firearm charge and DUII lands man in jail, probation

CANYON CITY – Jail time, probation, and a driver’s license suspension is one man’s punishment for a firearm charge and DUII in Grant County Circuit Court. According to court documents, David Allan Strange, 28, pleaded guilty to one count of Possession of Prohibited Firearms or Silencer, as well as Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants committed in July of last year.

Strange was sentenced to 48 hours in jail, placed on Supervised Probation for 36 months, and will have his driver’s license suspended for 1 year. One count was disposed with no conviction.
