Fire stopped at .25 acres near Middle Fork of John Day River

GRANT COUNTY – Malheur National Forest firefighting resources responded to a small fire start on Saturday near the Middle Fork of the John Day River, between the community of Galena and the turnoff to Camp Creek.
Wildcad.net reports that the Middle Fork Wildfire grew to a quarter acre before it was listed as controlled and contained on Sunday. A cause of the blaze was not listed.
