Fire reported west of Minam Lodge

WALLOWA- (From the U.S. Forest Service – Wallowa Whitman National Forest) Crews are responding to a 5-acre wildfire west of Minam Lodge in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. We are working with the Minam Lodge to ensure the safety of their guests. The trail from Moss Springs to Minam Lodge is now closed for public safety, while the Minam River Trail remains open at this time. Smoke jumpers are on scene, helicopters are dropping water buckets, and air tankers are spreading retardant.
