Fire Reported Near Sumpter

SUMPTER — (Release from the U.S. Forest Service)
Fire reported.
We are tracking a fire just SW of Sumpter. Local engine and district personnel responded and are reportedly mopping up now.
The fire is approximately one acre in size burning in heavy fuels.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
We ask the public to please use caution if traveling through or visiting the area.
