Fire reported at Pilot Rock fire station

PILOT ROCK – A fire reported at the Pilot Rock fire station Monday night has caused some damage, but the extent is unknown at this time.

Pendleton Fire and Ambulance Chief Tony Pierotti says they responded to the call at 7:45 p.m. and it was mostly smoke when they arrived, the fire was declared out by 8:30 p.m.

Pierotti said there appears to be some damage to the building and vehicles inside, but the full extent won’t be known until state investigators arrive in the morning.

Pilot Rock Police Sergeant Daniel Badal who’s also a Lieutenant with Pilot Rock Rural Fire Protection District added that there were no injuries and no other structures were threatened.

Umatilla County Fire District No. 1, and the Umatilla Tribal Fire Department also responded.
