Fire near Magone Lake contained at less than an acre

MAGONE LAKE, OR – Grant County Emergency Communications reported that a call came in around 10:51 a.m. yesterday morning, to the report of a log on fire on the Magone Slide Trail near Magone Lake. John Day Interagency Dispatch’s Wildcad.net page shows that at last update, resources responded and the fire grew to .42 acres. It was reported contained at 9 p.m. last night. It burned in grass, brush and timber. A cause of the blaze has not been listed.
