Burns, Or-The Burns Fire Department crews are flushing all fire hydrants throughout the City of Burns.
This annual preventive maintenance program is necessary to maintain high quality drinking water and to ensure public safety with safe, reliable fire hydrant operations.
Please be aware that you may experience low water pressure and/or discolored water for a brief time. If you experience either of these conditions, run your cold water for several minutes to flush your plumbing.
Discoloration that may occur is due to sediment buildup and natural minerals in the water being stirred up in the hydrant flushing process.
The water will remain safe to drink at all times throughout this annual maintenance.
