Fire district receives grant, funds will go towards additional station

DIXIE – Walla Walla County Fire District No. 8 is the recipient of the $10,000 Columbia Rural Electric Association’s More Powerful Together grant.
The district will use the grant for electrical work and the HVAC system at the new fire station at 211 Mill Creek Road in Walla Walla.
Currently, the district is waiting for the final permit for construction from the county.
While the district is working on building the new station in Walla Walla, it said all operations at the Dixie station will remain the same.
