Fire damages outbuilding in Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Fire Department responded to the 1000 block of Willow Street at 6:28 a.m. Friday for a fire in an outbuilding. Walla Walla County Fire District No. 4 and College Place Fire Department also responded as part of a mutual-aid agreement.

Firefighters found the fire in a small shed in the back of the residence. The fire was spreading to a camp trailer next to the shed. Crews got to work and had the fire under control in seven minutes. No injuries were reported.

Damage is estimated at $5,000, and the cause is under investigation. Anyone with information can contact the Walla Walla Police Department at 509-527-4434 and speak to a detective.
