Fire damages detached shop

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Fire Department was dispatched at 7:08 a.m. Friday to the 1400 block of Tawny Lane. It was reported that smoke and flames were coming from the attic of a detached shop.

Firefighters found the shop to be unoccupied and began an offensive attack on the fire after determining no other structures were threatened.

No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Walla Walla County Fire District Number 4 also responded as part of a mutual-aid agreement.
