UNION – A wildfire reported near Pyles Canyon along Highway 237, southeast of Union, has been contained at an estimated 20 acres.
According to officials, fire spread was stopped with the help of crews from local fire departments, the Oregon Department of Forestry, and the U.S. Forest Service. As of 7:30 p.m., mop-up operations were underway.
The fire was first reported earlier in the day, prompting a multi-agency response.
