Fire burns three acres near Mission Road, causing temporary evacuations and closures

PENDLETON – Fire crews quickly responded to a small fire on Wednesday on Mission Road near Pendleton.
Umatilla Tribal Fire said the fire burned approximately three acres. The Desire for Healing assisted living facility was briefly evacuated as a precaution.
Mission Road from Memory Lane to Highway 30 was closed down while crews battled the fire.
