Few details released regarding multi-agency investigation

JOHN DAY – A multi-agency investigation is underway, according to local law enforcement. KJDY and News 102 listeners have been contacting our newsroom, wondering about some activity that occurred yesterday on the west end of John Day. Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley couldn’t say much, but he gave us a little information:

“It’s an incident that’s still under investigation. It was a multi-month investigation, which comprised several agencies but OSP is primarily handling that. Out-of-area detectives were here, and it culminated with a detention and service of a search warrant last night, and that’s probably what people were seeing.”
