Felon arrested on multiple charges in Canyon City

CANYON CITY – Yesterday morning, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office contacted a subject in Canyon City, and as a result, one person was arrested.

At approximately 9:18 a.m. on Tuesday, Christopher Boyer of John Day was arrested near the intersection of Adams Drive and US Highway 395 for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Firearm, and two additional charges that were not listed on dispatch logs. Nothing further was released regarding the incident.

Boyer was arrested last January at Canyon Creek Apartments in John Day on a Grant County warrant. We’ll provide any updates that come in.
