GRANT COUNTY – February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Beth Simonsen, Director for Heart of Grant County, was on Coffee Time earlier today. Simonsen reflected on some early life components that oftentimes lead to violence in the teen years, and later as an adult:

“You know, a lot of stuff comes from the home and the environment they’re raised in, and as much as all of us say, either, ‘I like how I was raised’ or ‘I didn’t like how I was raised, but I want to do some things different’; sometimes you still end up doing the same things because you don’t know any different.

Basically, if you’re looking to change your life [and] want some information, that sort of thing—come see us.
