Fatal shooting in Prescott under investigation

PRESCOTT – The Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office reports one person has died following a shooting that occurred at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 200 block of East Third Street in Prescott.
This was a neighborhood dispute where one person shot another. Despite lifesaving efforts by first responders, the victim died at the scene.
Undersheriff Joe Klundt said one person is in custody and there is no threat to the public.
This remains an active investigation.
