Fatal Crash on Johnson Ranch Road

DESCHUTES COUNTY(Released by Oregon State Police)-On Monday, January 31, 2022 at approximately 9:07 PM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Johnson Ranch Road, a half mile south of Sterns Road.

Preliminary investigation revealed Lisa Peaslee (50) of Bend fled from a Deschutes County Sheriff’s Department Deputy who was stopping the Toyota Scion for violations. During the ensuing pursuit the Toyota Scion crossed over southbound lane of travel and struck a rock embankment on the southbound shoulder. The vehicle rolled and came to rest in the roadway.

Peaslee sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.

OSP was assisted by Bend Police Department and Deschutes County Road Department.

Johnson Ranch Road was closed for approximately 7 hours while Oregon State Police and Bend Police Department Collision Reconstruction Units investigated the scene.
