FATAL CRASH ON HWY 20 – MALHEUR COUNTY

VALE – (News Release from Oregon State Police) On Friday, April 23. 2021 at approximately 3:40 A.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a vehicle crash on Hwy 20 near milepost 257.

Preliminary investigation revealed a Mercury Sable, operated by Jenifer Haueter (31) of Vale, was westbound and crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with a Chevrolet Avalanche operated by Marion Williams (54) of Vale.

Haueter sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Williams was transported by ground to Ontario and then by Life Flight to Boise.
