WAITSBURG — An Idaho man died early Saturday morning while traveling on U.S. Highway 12 at milepost 352, five miles south of Waitsburg.
The Washington State Patrol said Brandon J. Hoard, 25, of Burley was traveling eastbound when his vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment at 1:17 a.m. Saturday.
Hoard died at the scene. Next of kin was contacted by the Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office and the Burley Police Department.
Troopers said the cause is wheels off roadway. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in this fatal traffic collision.
