COLLEGE PLACE – The 2023 College Place Farmers and Artisan Market will be temporarily relocated to the City Municipal Complex, 625 South College Avenue. The change is due to construction planned at Lions Park this summer.

The city post said that other local parks are not optimal due to size, parking limitations, or a lack of electrical access. While the temporary site has space, parking, restrooms and electricity, there is one concern. It involves the heat that could result from the asphalt. The market is normally held from 4-7 p.m., the hottest part of the day.

Citizens are being asked to visit the College Place, Washington Facebook page and complete a survey on proposed schedule adjustment options for the upcoming season of the farmers and artisans market.

The survey asks respondents to rank proposed time changes by order of preference. It also includes information about when others farmers markets are operating in the area, to avoid conflicts.
