Family members report discrepancy regarding Grant County’s 2nd COVID-19 death

GRANT COUNTY – Grant County’s 2nd COVID-19-related death that was recently reported may have some misinformation in the initial release, according to family members of the deceased. The daughter of the 81-year old Grant County resident who passed away last week said her mother did not have underlying conditions as reported by state and local public health agencies, and in fact died due to infection from the coronavirus.
The daughter said she wanted to contact our newsroom to, “set the record straight.” She said her mother became infected while residing at the Blue Mountain Care Center in Prairie City. We’ll keep you updated with any further details.
