Fallen soldier escort to pass through Grant County on June 26th

GRANT COUNTY – Local residents have an opportunity to pay their respects to a fallen American soldier on Friday, June 26th. The Patriot Guard Riders will be escorting a fallen soldier from SeaTac, Washington to Salt Lake City, Utah, and will be traveling through Grant County.
The escort is scheduled to travel through Dayville on the 26th at approximately 11:45 a.m.; through Mt. Vernon around 12:10 p.m.; and pass through John Day about 12:25 p.m. Grant County residents are encouraged to line the streets with their flags as one of our nation’s protectors travels home for the last time.
The American Warrior Veterans Association will form a welcome line at Bare Bones Bar.
