Fairgrounds needs volunteers for work day

JOHN DAY – The Grant County Fair & Rodeo is just around the corner, and Fairgrounds Manager Mindy Winegar recently said that there will be a chance for volunteers to help spruce things up before the action starts:
“We are going to have a workday August 3rd. We’re going to start early in the morning—about 6 a.m. when it’s cool, and get all of our tents, our chairs, our netting put up. So, if anybody wants to come down and join in the fun, I’ll have coffee and donuts.”
Winegar said there will also be water available for volunteers, so just bring your gloves.
