JOHN DAY – Grant County Fairgrounds Manager Mindy Winegar mentioned yesterday to KJDY listeners that the fairgrounds is a major economic driver in Grant County. She looked at some numbers from 2023:

“We had 65 events last year. We rented over 4,000 RV spaces. So, we have over 38,000 people on our grounds throughout 2023. We are a huge economic driver, and we are very proud of that. If you go off of that 38,0000, we have brought in about two-and-a-half million dollars to our community.”
