LA GRANDE – Yesterday morning’s I-84 closure is a reminder to motorist this time of year to always check ahead for road closures. I-84 was closed for a time due to extreme foggy conditions on Cabbage Hill. The hazardous driving conditions also contributed to a crash near milepost 220. By checking ahead on conditions would reduce the congestion in case of road closures, said the Oregon Department of Transportation.
According to Lt. Karl Farber with the Oregon State Police,
“A semi hit a guardrail and was blocking part of one lane. Took extensive work by the tow company to remove and they had to occupy both lanes of travel. Non injury, more about logistics.
