PENDLETON – A little over a year ago, the Umatilla River Flood did serious damage to Keystone RV and Atkore Pipe in Pendleton. Economic Development Director Steve Chrisman said it’s gratifying to see their recovery.
“There are a lot of RVs pumping out of the factory there at Keystone,” Chrisman said. “At the pipe plant, he told me that they’re pumping out more pipe there than they did prior to the flood.”
As a matter of fact, Atkore plans to expand.
“They’ve got three lines up with a fourth on the way and then a fifth and a sixth will be coming,” Chrisman said. “That means more jobs and more pipe.”
Atkore acquired the Cor-Tek brand name when it purchased Rocky Mountain Colby Pipe in 2019. The company, headquartered in Illinois, has kept the Cor-Tek plant in Pendleton.
