JOSEPH, OR – Sunday afternoon the Joseph Fire Department responded for an excavator that rolled down a steep embankment in rural Lostine. From reports, the operator of the excavator was digging out a new road and went over the edge. The operator rode the excavator till it stopped in near-by trees. A rope rescue team retrieved the excavator operator and was brought to a near-by ambulance from Enterprise and transferred to Lifeflight.
