EOU’S Kaylie Hoskins Earns Fourth CCC Pitcher of the Week Award

LA GRANDE – (Release from Eastern Oregon University) The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced this week’s Athlete of the Week Awards presented by Rize Laboratories on Monday afternoon. Eastern Oregon’s Kaylie Hoskins was named the CCC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Hoskins had two shutout outings this week, leading the Mountaineers in the circle for two of the team’s victories. Hoskins posted two complete game shutouts, totaling 25 strikeouts while only giving up five total hits in 13 innings of work. Hoskins over the weekend also became EOU’s single season complete game shutouts leader, posting her 12th complete game shutout performance of the season.
“She did a great job and her defense and offense gave her the support she needed” Head Coach Nicole Christian said.
Hoskins and the Mountaineers will return to action today at 2 p.m. when they play the first game of a double-header against the College of Idaho at home.
