LA GRANDE – (Release from Eastern Oregon University) It’s an exciting weekend of events as Eastern Oregon University (EOU) prepares for the 3rd annual Blue and Gold Weekend, Friday, May 19, and Saturday, May 20.
On Friday, May 19, EOU Athletics will host the EOU Coaches Golf Scramble at the La Grande Country Club. Kickoff for the event is scheduled for 1 p.m. Later that evening will be the Texas Hold’Em Tournament scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, May 20, events begin at 10 a.m. and run through 4 p.m.
The Tailgate Zone opens at 10 a.m. and will run throughout all the events. A family fun fest hosted by the EOU Women’s Soccer Team will include an obstacle course, face painting, mini basketball, soccer games, kan jam, corn hole, and scooter bowling.
There will be several team events throughout the day as well. EOU Volleyball will host its annual alumni game scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Football’s annual spring game will begin at 1 p.m. Then the EOU Men’s Soccer alumni game will wrap up events starting at 4 p.m.
