EOU Softball Remains at No. 24 Nationally

LA GRANDE – (Release from Eastern Oregon University) The latest edition of the NAIA Softball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll was released Wednesday by the national office. Eastern Oregon remained steady, staying at No. 24 in the national poll.

Since the last ranking, EOU has played three conference series for 10 total games, going 7-3 in those games. The first series the Mountaineers matched up with Corban University. Eastern took three out of four games on the road over the Warriors on the road before a mid week matchup with now No. 6 ranked College of Idaho. The Yotes took both games over the Mounties. Eastern bounced back in their last weekend of Cascade Collegiate conference play with a four game sweep over the Knights of Warner Pacific University to finish CCC play with a 19-11 record 

Eastern Oregon will be back in action Friday, May. 5 as they travel to Klamath Falls, Ore. to take on the Thunderbirds of the British of Columbia University in the opening round of the CCC tournament. Game one is set to start at 9 a.m. earning them a spot in the conference tournament as a four seed.
