LA GRANDE – (Release from Eastern Oregon University) The NAIA released the results of the latest Men’s Wrestling Coaches’ Top 20 Poll Thursday morning. Eastern Oregon University slipped a few spots from No. 7 to No. 10.
Since the last ranking the Mountaineers have put together strong performances in three straight duals winning by 15 or more in each. Eastern dominated Arizona Christian on Dec. 10 winning 46-6. The Mounties followed that dual up with two victories over Montana State-Northern and Saint Ambrose the next weekend at the Reno Tournament of Champions Duals. At the Reno Tournament of Champions itself, Eastern Oregon placed 19th of 42 teams that included some strong Division I level talent.
Coming in at No. 10 as a team, EOU also had eight individuals earn top-25 rankings in their weight classes. All ranked individuals are listed below.
