LA GRANDE– (Release from Eastern Oregon University) Dawson Forcella joined the EOU Athletics Department as the Sports Information Director in July 2022.
Prior to joining the athletics department, Forcella graduated from Briar Cliff University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications in May of 2022. Forcella was named salutatorian and outstanding student in Mass Communications in 2022.
A former two sport athlete, Forcella played football and baseball at Briar Cliff University for two and a half years. Forcella was named a team captain as a tailback for the BCU football team and played in the outfield for the baseball team. He was named the Briar Cliff University 2021-22 Scholar-Athlete of the Year in his senior season.
Prior to attending Briar Cliff University, Forcella attended Minot State University where he studied Broadcasting and Professional Communication while playing baseball for two and a half years.
Forcella grew up in Greybull, Wyoming where he graduated from Greybull High School in the spring of 2017. During his time in high school he played football, basketball, and baseball.
In his free time, Forcella enjoys the outdoors, sports, hunting, and fishing.
