LA GRANDE โ (All information provided by EOU) The Mountaineers wrapped up its two days of competition at the Missouri Valley Invitational. Eastern Oregon had a limited squad compete, but still earned one podium finish in Noel Orozco. As a team, Eastern finished 29th overall out of 38 teams and scored 21 points.
Eastern Oregon University Men’s Basketball got back on track Saturday evening with a hard fought 65-62 home win over in-state rival Southern Oregon. With the win, the Mountaineers are now 12-9 overall, 6-7 in CCC play, and improve to 6-2 inside Quinn Coliseum.
Mountaineer Women’s Basketball continued their winning ways Saturday afternoon with a gritty 68-65 comeback win over in-state rival Southern Oregon. The win pushed Eastern Oregon’s winning streak to six straight and puts the team’s overall record at 14-7, with an 11-2 mark in conference play.
Eastern Oregon University Track & Field had two athletes hit NAIA A standards and one hit a B standard on Saturday at the Lauren McCluskey Memorial Open hosted by the University of Idaho. Along with two automatic qualifiers and one provisional qualifier, the Mountaineers had eight athletes post all-time top-10 marks in program history for the indoor season.
