ENTERPRISE – (Information provided by participant) The running for the 2024 Miss NPRA (Northwest Professional Rodeo Association) has officially begun, and one Eastern Oregon Native, Bailey Vernam, is looking for some community support to help make it happen. In her own words, “It truly takes a village and any support I can get; I greatly appreciate.” Currently attending the University of Idaho with dreams of becoming an orthodontist, the nineteen-year-old from Enterprise has quite a resume when it comes to rodeo as well as good old Eastern Oregon culture. As written in her bio:
“Through high school, I was a member of FFA, FCCLA, 4-H, Varsity Cheerleading, and I played the violin. I love hunting, fishing, and spending time with my family. I have two geldings, Domino who is my rodeo partner, and Dakota who is my pleasure horse. I have an amazing support system behind me of my mom, Shannon, my grandparents, Dave and Debi, and all of my family as well. I can’t wait for rodeo season to start back up and hear the horses and bulls in the chutes.”
