ENTERPRISE — The Outlaws of Enterprise are heading back to the 2A ranks.

The OSAA met earlier this month to review data and propose changes in classifications for teams. The OSAA committee announced that only one team would move up a classification in the state – Enterprise.

The Outlaws are heading back to 2A, thanks to its winning record and state playoff win this past season in 1A-8 man football, according to the OSAA.

Some eastern Oregon teams that may possibly move down due to winning less than 22% of their in-class games over the past two years includes Grant Union (currently 2A down to 1A 8-man), McLoughlin (currently 3A down to 2A) and Pilot Rock (currently 1A 8-man down to 1A 6-man).

In the same meeting, the OSAA proposed changes on schools that would move up from 1A-6-man football to 1A-8. Read Elkhorn Media Group’s article on that proposal here.
