ENTERPRISE – (Information form the U.S. Senate) In a recent update from the U.S. Senate, it was announced that 11 farms across Oregon will receive a combined total of 2.1 million dollars in funding as part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Value-Added Producer Grant Program. Among the recipients is the Enterprise based and family owned Stangel Livestock who received a $250,000 grant. According to the Senate release, the funds will be used to, “expand the marketing and sales of their grass-fed bison meat and finished bison products.”
